Hi folks! The Interactions team wanted to take a moment to clear something up and make sure we’re all on the same page when it comes to plots and involving other players in the fun.
Short version: You will NEVER be penalized for including other players in storylines, events, or discoveries. In fact, we encourage it!
Recently, there was an SPC (Staff-Played Character) who advised a few players to exercise discretion regarding an ongoing plot. That guidance was intended to mean “don’t broadcast details in a public place”—not “you must keep this entirely secret from all other players.”
We completely understand how that interpretation could happen, and we appreciate everyone who’s been trying to play things in good faith. But we want to be crystal clear:
Unwritten Legends is a shared-world roleplaying game. Bringing other players into your stories is always the right choice.
If staff ever need something to stay under wraps for mechanical or narrative reasons, we’ll be very specific about that. Otherwise, assume it’s fair game to invite others in, spark intrigue, and build great RP together.
Thanks to everyone who’s been helping bring these plots to life—and keep being awesome to one another.
